What are spider veins – and why do they appear?
Spider veins – also called thread veins, broken capillaries, or telangiectasia – are tiny blood vessels that have widened and become visible just under the skin. They look like thin red or purple lines, sometimes branching out in a web-like pattern, which is where they get their name.
At our center, we most often treat them on the face: around the nose, across the cheeks, and on the chin. They can also show up on the legs and body, usually as small, fine clusters.

How the Clarity II treats spider veins
The Clarity II delivers targeted laser energy directly into the affected vein. The energy heats the vessel wall, causing it to collapse – the collapsed vein is then gradually broken down and reabsorbed by the body over the following weeks.

What to expect from your treatment

The treatment Sessions typically take 15 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area – a small area on the face is usually on the shorter end. The Clarity II is passed over the target vessels, delivering short pulses of laser energy. Most clients describe the sensation as a quick snap of warmth – tolerable for most people without numbing. The built-in cooling system manages comfort throughout.
After your session Some clients see an immediate reduction in the appearance of veins. Full results develop over 4–6 weeks as the body clears the collapsed vessels. Mild redness or a slight warming sensation in the treated area is normal and typically resolves within a few hours. There is no meaningful downtime – most clients return to their normal day immediately.
How many sessions will you need?
Most spider vein concerns resolve in 1–3 sessions. Every laser journey at Sasha Beauty starts with a free consultation. From there, most treatments follow the same basic pattern: a short session (15–30 minutes for most areas), built-in cooling for comfort, and little to no downtime afterward. Before your treatment
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for at least two weeks before your appointment. For hair removal specifically, shave the area 24 hours before – do not wax or pluck. Pause retinoids and active exfoliants 48–72 hours prior. Come to your appointment with clean skin, no makeup or lotion on the treatment area.
After your treatment
Apply SPF 30 or higher daily – protecting treated skin from UV exposure is the single most important thing you can do to protect your results. Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours. You may experience mild redness or slight swelling that typically resolves within a few hours. Do not pick or scratch the treated area. Your specialist will give you any additional aftercare specific to your treatment.
